It's What I do....
I grew up with my heart having two loves, the small town in Northern California where I spent my school year and La Fourche Bayou in Southern Louisiana where my mother's family has their roots. In California I sang along with all the greats on the jukebox in my aunt's tavern from the time I was a little kid ( The laws were a WHOLE lot different then, plus it really was a very small town) and was enraptured by the music of the deep south that spoke of soulful experiences of Blues, Gospel, and plain ol' livin'.
These experiences started a chain reaction of creativity for me and I've been writing the lyrics to songs and experimenting with tunes ever since. I am a veteran and writing songs has helped me through some uncertain times. At 20 years old I brought home a rumpled paper sack from the jungles of Vietnam on which I'd written some lyrics that is now on this website entitled "You Can't Go Home Again". And as a Cajun, a strong heritage of story-telling is evident in my songs, they always go to the heart of the matter and get a resonant response.
